I have had my Chromecast for about 6 months now and the light on it has been red for a while now. my TV isn’t able to find it neither can my devices. i have tried the FDR and when it was flashing, i took the power off, then i turned it back on and it gave a white light but still no output and I couldn’t find it.
It used to work, i did set it up correctly, but now i cant set it up again and i cant check if it is in the right network or not, it just isn’t responding at all. my brother suggested sending it back for “repair” but I wanna troubleshoot first, that’s my last resort. if u have any suggestions on how to fix this red light problem I’m having, I’m eager to hear them.

The red light usually means insufficient power. You may try the power adapter provided or any phone/tablet chargers with more than 1000mA current output.
