I have a 24″ Haier HD, which has 2 HDMI inputs both work with my Chromecast. I also have a Dynex 46″ which has 3 HDMI inputs Chromecast does not work one any of them A couple of times when Chromecast was connected the TV Dynex i would see black screen for split second it would flash “connecting” and then i would get “no signal” I know that it should work because it did a couple months ago Why one tv works and the other does not I spent over 2 hours and tryed everything Help Steve Knox

It sounds like your TV settings issue. At least, if Chromecast is powered on, it should just like a DVD player for the TV.
Of course, if you are using the USB port on the TV, you may try the power adapter provided with with your Chromecast.
