  How can I obtain the Google cast extension to supplement my Chromecast, if the Chrome web store says that my Nook tablet,running Android 4.0, isn’t supported at this time?

  Google cast extension is for PC only.
  
  For Android devices, you only need the app from Play store. If your tablet cannot access Play store, then you cannot run the app at all.
