What if my AVR (Yamaha HTR-6130) does have (2) hdmi inputs, but those won't carry audio signal. (HTR-6130 can't process audio from HDMI and simply passes it through)..
Do use an HDMI audio extractor and connect it over HDMI to one of those two HDMI input ? (will it turn make them carry audio ?)
No, in this case, you should connect the extractor to the AVR through a 3.5mm audio cable.
